Myrto Delimichali (Greece)

What does the body remember? Can it help revive memory? How do we arrange memory and the emotions associated to it? Often, it is through sound that we reference a feeling or an emotion. Armed with their memories, individual and collective, the bodies in this piece question both shared history and personal identities.

Born in 1988, Myrto Delimichali completed her studies in art theory and philosophy of art at the Athens School of Fine Arts this year. She studied dance, and participated in several dance projects in Greece and Europe, at the same time. She performed in Anthomoessa by Eirini Papanikolaou, a piece that garnered much attention in the 2016 edition of Danse Élargie and was invited to Chantiers d’Europe at Théâtre de la Ville in May 2017. She lives and works in Athens.
